Blended finance for private sector-led projects is a significant tool to address market failures and to help mobilize private investment in pioneering projects and in challenging environments. In westward Africa, this blended approach is being used by USAID, Prosper Africa, the DFC and the private sector to generate sustainable economic growth through a unique development program. This virtual panel explores how 2 funds – Cordaid and ShEquity – and the U.S. government are blending public-private resources to invest in the Sahel to create jobs, exports and generate other results among women, youth and underserved populations.
