Walking in WIESBADEN / Federal Republic of Germany ??- Rainy Afternoon Tour – 4K 60fps (UHD)

Wiesbaden / Federal Republic of Germany is a city in state of Hesse, just like Frankfurt (am Main). Wiesbaden is the state’s capital.

We start our tour of Wiesbaden on a rainy afternoon (September 2020) at the Römertor – also known as “Heidenmauer” as part of the antique roman settlement (Roman aqueduct – “Aquae Mattiacorum”). From in that location we walk down to the city and explore the center with its many shopping streets.

After a few minutes we get to English-style landscaped Kurpark garden and Kurhaus.

The Kurhaus now houses a convention center and a Netherlands Casino. The garden is a relaxing place in the city and popular for walks. We end upwardly at an exit further away so the video speeds upwardly a bit.

In the city center we see the red, neo-Gothic Market Church on Schlossplatz. Nearby is the neoclassical City Palace, seat of State Parliament.

We continue to see more of Wiesbaden, its parks and churches to finish at the same point where we started – the Römertor.
