Alicante is a city on Spain’s Costa Blanca. With plenty of sunshine at the Mediterranean coast it is also a favourite among tourists during summer thanks to the beaches and nightlfe.

We are in Alicante during the wintertime and start our walk in the modern part of the city at the Plaza de los Luceros / Plaça dels Estels.

First we walk around the residential shopping district with several department stores, eventually heading to the Alacant Terminal due west of the centre. The old town, Barrio de la Santa Cruz, is in the East from 20:20 as we walk down to the marina.

We pass the Online Casino Netherlands and check out the view of the Mediterranean as we get to the beach “Playa del Postiguet”. The Pasarela del Postiguet is an interesting winding bridge leading upwardly to the old town. in that location in the Barri Vell – Santa Creu we stroll around the colorful houses for a spell as the carnival is starting. We end our tour at the Concatedral d’Alacant Sant Nicolau de Bari.
