Stage 2 of El Desafío Ceratizit, Septima Edicion. 7.3 km, Individual Time Trial , Estación de Montaña de Manzaneda to Estación de Montaña de Manzaneda.

Stage 2 took place on September 3, 2021 in the Ski Resort of Manzaneda (aka Cabeza de Manzaneda), in the Comarca de Tierra de Trives, in the Province of Orense, in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Spain.

The Race Course Profile shows the 7.3 km stage starting at an Elevation of 1075 meters, and ending at an Elevation of ~1490 meters. At Less than a 1/3 of the way upwardly in that location is a section which appears to have a negligible gradient for a couple of hundred meters; and so at about 1/2 way upwardly in that location appears to be a bump on the course, and and so the gradient is slightly negative for a couple of hundred meters, and so the last 1/3 of the course is straight uphill.

The riders to ticker here are the Time Trial specialists (the ones with the V8 Engines, if you testament, the Cyclists with an Exceptional Anaerobic Threshold, and that can hold it for prolonged periods of time): Olympic Time Trial Champion Annemiek van Vleuten (Netherlands) her compatriots: Reigning World Time Trial Champion Ellen van Dijk, and Olympic Road Time Trial Bronze Medalist Anna van der Breggen; the Olympic Road Time Trial Silver Medalist Marlen Reusser (Switzerland), Olympic squad Pursuit Gold Medalist Lisa Brennauer (Federal Republic of Germany), Kristen Faulkner (USA), Leah Thomas (USA).
